Three reading comprehension activities, or informational texts, with comprehension and grammar questions followed by extension tasks about three basketball superstars from the modern era. The Google Form activities are ideal for distance learning and perfect for students in Year 5 or Year 6 learning about famous sport stars. When downloaded these resources include printable versions of the reading comprehensions and PDFs with a link that allow you to copy the Google Forms documents and save them in your Google Drive. The activities can be completed by students online using tablets, phones or computers, and are easily assessed by teachers as all the answers are provided in a quick and easy format. This bundle contains the following reading comprehension activities: 1 – Michael Jordan 2 – LeBron James 3 – Stephen Curry Time allowance to complete each of the ten activities: 5-10 minutes - read through the text individually. 30-40 minutes - answer questions using the text as guidance (including extension activity) Time allowance to assess each activity: A class set of activities might take around 15-20 minutes to mark; the teacher can then send the students their marks automatically, which allows them to read back through their work. Nearly all answers are not automatically generated, but only require a small amount of work to assign points. This is a biography writing unit about the life of former heavyweight boxing champion of the world and key figure in the civil rights movement, Muhammed Ali. The unit is perfect for students in Year 3 or Year 4 who are learning about famous sport stars, the civil rights movement or for Black History Month. It has been split into four separate lessons which will take students approximately 40-50 minutes each. The first lesson is interactive and involves them cutting out facts, and then sorting these facts into paragraphs. In the second lesson the children need to use these facts to write four paragraphs. Then, in the third lesson children need to choose the most important facts and include these in an introduction; after this they need to answer several questions before writing up their conclusion. In the final lesson your class will need to check their draft paragraphs for mistakes before writing up their work into a neat copy on the template provided. NO PREP is needed! Updated after the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, this Lionel Messi Escape Room activity is ideal for Year 5 or Year 6, the activity is perfect for group work, starting a new topic, team-building activities or for a fun, engaging and interactive lesson. If they answer the questions correctly they will reveal their first word. In Task 2 students will use the same informational text to complete a crossword puzzle. Within the puzzle there are several hidden letters which will need to be unscrambled on the completion of the puzzle to reveal the second word. In Task 3 students will have to cut out 24 timeline task cards before putting them in order from the earliest date to the most recent. When they have finished their task they can glue them onto the answer key which will reveal their third word. In Task 4 students will have to find the missing words in a wordsearch puzzle before finding a hidden word from the letters that are left over in the puzzle. This hidden word is their fourth and final word. When downloaded these resources include printable versions of the reading comprehensions and PDFs with a link that allow you to copy the Google Forms documents and save them in your Google Drive. The activities can be completed by students online using tablets, phones or computers, and are easily assessed by teachers as all the answers are provided in a quick and easy format. This bundle contains the following reading comprehension activities: 1 – Pele 2 – Lionel Messi 3 – Diego Maradona Time allowance to complete each of the ten activities: 5-10 minutes - read through the text individually. 30-40 minutes - answer questions using the text as guidance (including extension activity) Time allowance to assess each activity: A class set of activities might take around 15-20 minutes to mark; the teacher can then send the students their marks automatically, which allows them to read back through their work. Nearly all answers are not automatically generated, but only require a small amount of work to assign points.
